it will need packing and he thinks tissue cut away as the fluid thats in there alreay can destroy tissues, which can lead to bigger tissue getting cut away..
so there you have it....

Sorry to hear that dazzy, why the hell can't they get rid of the problem first time instead of all this repeat surgery, it beggars belief, really it does, i've seen fistulotomy surgery performed and they are supposed to remove all the branches/roots as if it were a tree.

Derry-boy - YOU CAN DO IT !!!!! It IS awful that you have to have a surgery again :( :( :(
BUT try to look at it this way - they know what it is and how to fix it and it WILL BE FIXED !!!!! Couple of more weeks of butt-soaks and you will be free of all of that misery !!!!
It is worst when they say "it is nothing" and than person suffers for many more months even years and than somebody finally finds out "Oh - it is a fistula forming" !!!!
Try to concentrate on the fact that they discovered it on time and will clean it up and than you can finally be on the way of complete healing !!!!
What is their theory - why did it form ??? Is it on the same place it was before ????!!

Thanks to everyone for being here for my best friend Darren. My name is James (Jimmy). Darren has been a some what very silly man. I will not go into detail, but he is in hospital after trying to do a very silly thing. He failed i am very glad to pass on to you all. He gets out tomorrow and i think what i can get from the Doctors he might go straight into a clinic. I really don`t know. He just left names and passwords so i could pass on his regrets to all his friends on here for taking the route he thought was going to be his last. GLADLY he failed. Sorry for any distress this may cause to his friends on here, i know he has a nice few. And sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place. Jimmy
