I bought the pro biotics liquid form called: Yakult.
I ran out one day and went along to Holland & Barret (uk) They told me that taking liquid form is no good. Reason is it has to be cold constantly, and by the time you buy it, get it in your car and come home, it will be room temperature and therefore the bacteria no longer works. They recommend to take the pill only bottle they sell. It is American manufactured so sure everyone can buy them.
I have stopped taking them cos I take Magnesium instead and they are working great for me. Hope this helps you??

I would be either 24 til or 24 from diarrhea it seemed so I started taking them about a month ago. Seemed to help, I also had my fissure flair up and surgery but I still think it is a noticeable difference now. I use Ultimate Flora and they sell it at CVS. Sure other places sell it too.

I tried them but it didn't seem to work for me. I have seen a dietician, and she said if you don't notice a difference after a month then to stop them. Probiotics are tablets which help to build up the good bacteria in your intestines. I use garlic tablets and thats meant to kill the bad bacteria which allows the good to multiply and that seems to have worked for me :)

I took acidophillus for ages when I first got my fissure - but it didn't do much good!

I hope you're feeling better Andrea.
My natropath told me that as long as the pills don't sit in a hot car for an hour or so then they will be fine.
