Odd question - but does anyone have a buzzing bottom?

Postby Sweet Bugaboo » 09 Jan 2012, 18:12

Okay -
So, on and off, the past few weeks (as my pain level has gone mostly down), I've had a "buzzing" sensation in my anal area. I hope the fissure is healing - and although I'm not in pain today, I do have a feeling like there's a little electricity down below - like someone plugged me into a wall socket.
It's not painful - just weird - kind of like my nerves down there are buzzing. Maybe that's all it is. Maybe the nerves are healing up. I hope so . . .
I don't know, I just thought I'd ask.

I'm bumping this up, just to see if anyone has had this feeling . . .
It's kind of like when a foot goes to sleep - there's that tingling -- well, that's what I get in my anal area. Must be a nerve thing . . .

Yes instead of spasms i now experience what feels like a small electrical current which kind of gives me a slight buzzing sensation for short spells.
I am nearing the end of my GTN course and dont know if this means healing or just another annoyance!

SweetBugaboo - wauw! I had a sensation like that a few times - and I know that I wasn't anywhere near anything electrical! Like Davo says, it's probably spasms :*( I'm going to keep record in case there is something that is causing this Image

Davo and granny - thanks.
I'm in a slump today. It must have been those prunes from yesterday - but I had a rather explosive BM, with a second BM later - and now I feel tender down below.
So . . . darn. i just want to heal. I JUST WANT TO HEAL.
I postponed my visit with the crs until the end of next week, because I've been hoping that I'll progress enough to not need anything further. But after this a.m.'s BMs, well, I don't know.
The depression and feeling of sluggishness is bad, too.

I had a bad BM after going a bit over board with the alcohol on New Years Eve. It knocked me back at least a week or so and destroyed my motivation to carry on. But i have managed to get myself back on track and the pain score today is around a 1 out of 10.
by the way this buzzing you mention is my only pain at the moment - i have no pain during the BM and the spasms are more a buzzing at the moment which come and go for about an hour or two after the BM.

Davo - that's helpful to know, because I've had that buzzing on and off - kind of like the feeling when a foot has gone to sleep (a sort of tingling, like a small electrical current).
I'm not in severe pain, either - although I've had a tenderness in the muscle around my AF area - just on one side - and sometimes my fanny muscles feel tight.
I don't remember going through any of this with my first AF go around. Perhaps we can have setbacks that can be overcome, with a bit of time and patience.
No more prunes for me, though. I'm already taking Konsyl and Colace.
