Thank you for checking on me. I've been thinking about (and praying for) you, too.
Today is a bad day, pain wise. I'm really just at the end of my rope with this stuff. I'm going to see my (2nd) crs again next Tuesday.
I just cannot keep living with this pain and throbbing.
I ask God for strength, too. --- How long will your round of chemo last?

I'm really touched by all the caring people on this forum. We're all in agony (or recovering from it), and we're all hoping that everyone feels better, soon.
In my case today, it really feels like the skin has been burned - perhaps by something I've used on it.
Gads, I hope this stuff just goes away!!!

Sweet... sorry for your continuing journey. Getting a 2nd crs opinion is certainly a good idea. The quality of doctors varies so much. Same medical degree and one is terrible and another is great.

I'm going to see my first crs on Feb 2nd, btw.

Actually, my visit this Thursday will be with the THIRD crs, thus far. The first guy didn't even see my fissures, this go around - but he prescribed the nitro/lido ointment, which my second crs said probably burned the area (his comment was that long-term use of lidocaine on an area will cause sensitivity and possible burning - and he seemed shocked that a mixture like that would be put down below). The second crs said I have two, very small (1mm) fissures, and that the best long-term fix is fiber and time.
So, since the first guy didn't even see the fissures, I feel that I need an extra opinion beyond the second crs, who did see the fissures . . . I hope I've made sense.

Sweetbugaboo: is it this thursday you go to ur 3rd CRS sweetie? Ur always in my prayers.. hopefully he/she can give you a better option/solution.. Hang in there sweetie..

Yes, I'll see the 3rd crs this Thurs. morning. The reason I'm seeing this 3rd doc, is because the first crs didn't even see my fissures, yet he prescribed a mixed ointment that my second crs said might have aggravated the area down below. So, I'm not counting that visit with the first crs.
