LIS One Day Away

Postby rasmith3530 » 26 Feb 2012, 10:04

I go for surgery tomorrow morning. While my pain level is down from what I was reporting when I first came to this forum, I do still have pain and especially the after burn of the spasms. Because of that, combined with the fact that I am still seeing blood when I poop, and this has been going on now since the latter part of November, I feel comfortable with my decision to go forward with my LIS. I have good faith in my CRS, as he also dealt with my colonoscopy, removing four benign polyps last year, and he did an admirable job on that.
I think that I'm going to ask my wife to pick up Moo Goo Gai Pan from the take out for dinner, as it is Chicken and cooked veggies in a delicate sauce (they don't use MSG). Asian foods are my favorite. I am torn between fried rice, which I love, and sticky rice, which may be better going into surgery (the main dish comes with one or the other included).

Thank you so much guys, and yes, I will be around sharing my recovery experience.
Of course, my AF had to present me with a going away present. After having some mild BMs over the past several nights, tonight's was painful, and the spasms are still with me.
Can't wait for tomorrow!

Well, today is the big day. My fissure gave me a going away present by keeping me up until three in the morning. Hey, but relief is on the way!
