Well, I'm now in recovery. They gave me an epidural, so I am waiting for feeling to return to my lower body. So far no pain.

Glad you got through it, rasmith! Just take your time to heal, and get the rest you need.

At home and pain has set in, but so far bearable. Doc gave me Lortab for the pain but so far, I'm doing it by the 'grin and bear it' method. Will resort to drugs if I have to.
It was the first time I've ever experienced an epidurmal. Very weird! Also, it took a long time before I had feeling back enough to stand and walk.
I did get a sexy (NOT) pair of fishnet underwear though. :-)

Hi, rasmith - Glad you're home and resting now.
I haven't heard of Lortab. My doc prescribed vicodin for me - but I didn't take too much of it, because I didn't want to become constipated. Advil worked alright - but after a few days, I didn't take anything.
An epidural -- that's different. Seems like every crs has his own way of doing things. My crs wants his patients completely knocked out (via general anesthesia) - and I was extremely tired after surgery and somewhat nauseated. I've had epidurals, though - and they're not too bad to go through, IMO.
