Torture,
You know, diet wise, just don't do anything in excess. You will make yourself miserable if you restrict your diet too much and IMO that won't help the healing process.
Sounds like you have a good diet as it is. Try the miralax, or prune juice. Chew foods thoroughly.
I like watered down juice instead of water and herbal teas to break up the monotony of water, water, water.
Sugary water drinks are not a great idea, so keep it weak.
All you want is to ensure that your BM is soft and easy to pass.
I wouldn't do the hydrocortizone for too long (no more than the two weeks it says on the box). It can thin the skin which will just make matters worse. I have yet to read of anyone saying that hydrocortizone helped their fissure heal. you'd be better off just using some virgin coconut oil. You can apply it with a qtip if your finger is too painful. This is IMO of course.
Have you seen a doc? Preferably a CRS (colorectal surgeon). You will heal fast if you can get a different topical like nifedipine or nitroglycerine.
walking helps bring more blood circulation to that area. So if it isn't too painful, try to get out and walk each day.
Hope you are doing better today!
