I too intend to refuse another round of botox as it seemed to make things worse rather than better. Dare I say it, I've had a week of no pain. Unfortunately this returned on Sunday but seems to have cleared up again. Went shopping yesterday, and got a bit irritated so don't know what to think really. Been applying the rectogesic for 3 months now and not sure what to do! Roll on 8th May, hopefully some advice and if no luck off to the private CRS I go if needs be!! Hope you feel better soon, I never had any problems with gas or anything but I know it can be a side effect. Give it a little more time. When is your follow-up?
Hey Davo, sounds like you've been eating for the rest of us!! I agree, Amsterdam and Paris are great if you ever come over Sweet. If you ever get to Paris visit the Pompidou Centre (though art is my thing so I'm a bit biased!), plus of course the Eiffel Tower and go to the top!!! Amsterdam very pretty too. I would love to go to America, it's my dream and I will make it one day. Just wanted to say Davo, thanks for the support you have given me over the past few months. This forum and the people on it are great and at times have kept me going.I have lost alot of friends over this but have decided the few who have stuck around are worth it. I am more positive now, my fissure is sort of under control and is definitely improved. Plus having my other problem under control is great too. Hope your follow-up appointment goes well, let us know how you get on. Oh by the way I think you asked a while ago where I was in the UK, I live in Worcestershire so sometimes get referred there but my doctors is on the border of Birmingham so I get a choice of where to go (nice!). So I am at a hospital in Birmingham for all the fissure stuff and a different one for my other problem :)
Hi, Sue - I would love to go to Amsterdam and/or Paris - and maybe one day I'll get that chance.
Hang in there with your fissure problem. --- It takes awhile to sort everything out, when it comes to that. I went through two crs's, until I finally found a third who understood that my AF was not going away on its own. He's now overseas, and I'm seeing the 4th crs, whom I like. --- Healing takes time and sometimes a lot of patience - so, that's what I'm trying to give myself.
My brother had a chance to visit various parts of Europe, years ago - and he made it to the Eiffel Tower! I'd probably gain a thousand pounds, just eating the great French food over there, lol. --- One thing about this AF experience - I have my weight down, and I'm happy about that.
Wishing you a pain-free day!
