Gosh, I wrote a response but I do not see it on here, so I will try again!
So, my LIS surgery was yesterday (Friday) morning. I told the anesthesiologist that I have had nausea after anesthesia and they gave me a patch for behind my ear and added something to my IV but I was still very, very nauseated for the rest of the day.
The great news is that I am feeling SO much better than I ever expected. I even shopped for a few hours with the hubby this morning. I think I over did it by the end because I slept in the car while he finished our errands. I am still battling nausea and headaches on and off today, but I am certain it is just the anesthesia working its way out of my system.
I also just had my first BM post surgery and while I feared it, it was not bad at all!
I jumped into the bathtub after, sat in there for about 10 minutes and now I am writing this message, so you know that it wasn't too bad. I feel a little tender down below, but the BM was not bad at all!!! I was definitely happy to be home when it happened because I don't know that I would have been able to hold it for very long.
I know that this is just my experience, but now that I have lived through it all, I wish that I would have had this surgery months ago! I am already looking forward to getting my old life back! Yahoo!!!!
Thank you all for your support and if there are any questions I may be able to answer, I will be happy to do so.
Mary
