Almost two months in and I'm thinking maybe it's time to see a doctor. I had an anal fissure in May 2012 but it healed within weeks. Retear December 30, 2012.
I was doing fine for awhile there, I had bm's every 2 or 3 days so pretty much pain free for a few days. I would always think "it's fine, I can get through this." it only hurt for the time it took to get in the bath and just sit there waiting for the pain to go away. But now for some reason I'm going every day and it doesn't feel like I'm ever getting everything out, which I read on here is bad. I don't want to push though. And I've been feeling it more and more when I sit down or when I walk.
I had a doctors appointment two weeks ago with my GP but I cancelled it. I know now that I shouldn't have, but I have real anxiety issues over going to my GP and at the time I was in the state of mind that I could get through this on my own. I also have an issue with low blood pressure, and when I was at the docs in May he said that he couldn't prescribe me any of those creams.
So is there even a point in going? If I can't get the nitro cream or that dilatizem stuff? I'm not at a point where I want to have surgery. When I had a fissure in May I didn't know about taking a hot bath, so I would just lay down for like 4 hours before the pain would even start to subside. It was worse then than it is now. I just don't know if making an appt is worth it until I've decided that I'll do botox/surgery. Opinions?
I'm also 20. Has anyone here had surgery for this that young, or heard of someone who has?
Has anyone had success with botox?
