Small setback...
Im on day 10 on nitro, and after two good days, with 'only' about 4 hours of spasms, I had them about 7-8 hours today :-(
Dont really know why, but Im still hoping nitro will solve this.
I apply as much internally as possible. The rest I smear around just outside.

You have days like that. Here is a really old web link with someone's account of Nitro (scroll down to diary). It really helped to calm me down.

Yeah, is it unusual to have days like that, at this point?
Thanks for the link, nice to see what progress one can expect on nitro :-)

No, perfectly normal. I had an 8 hour episode 2 weeks in which reduced me to tears. Next day was way better.
One thing I've found is after a bad day things for some strange reason seem to get a stage better. It's almost like my ass doesn't want it it heal so kicks up a fuss!!

I had a "bad" day today and this was 4 weeks + 1 day! Around 4-5 hours irritation. Was getting quite painful before I used the Nitro. Hopefully wont happen again for a while now :)

Actually, yes. Went a whole hour without spasms after BM. Then I sneezed and caused it to cramp up down there, and that caused me 1/2 hour with spasms.
Right now, I feel no pain, just discompfort.

That's great... are you male? I know its a strange question but there's not so many guys on here.
I am feeling a stage better again today. I had completely painless BM with no after burn. I did feel a slight pressure build up around 2-2.5 hours after my BM so applied GTN and am completely normal now.
Now into week 5... wow, one hell of a difference. I am staying on Nitro for the full 8 weeks and you know what, I actually think it's going to work for me.
Its hard when a bad day comes but focus on how many good days you've had and remember there is often a vast improvement following a slight downturn. I have no idea why but for me this seems to be the pattern.
(I've said that and yesterday I went off on one saying I was having LIS etc, lol, I do this every time as I CANNOT handle the spasms).
