This is why I'm hesitant to try some foreign doctors because many of them (not all, but many) have very thick accents that I can't understand. They may be excellent doctors and great people, but if I can't understand 3/4 of what they're saying, I won't bother with them. It's my health and my money, and I need to be able to communicate with them so I can get on the road to feeling better as quickly as possible.
