Day2: I woke up at 5:30 a.m. With some mild burning pain. Got up, urinated, patted dry, some light blood on wipes. Took another pain pill, 5mg hydrocodon. Went back to bed.
When I woke up at 8:00, I felt a lot of pressure. I wasn't sure if it was gas or need to take a BM. My boyfriend got up and made a smoothie for me, and a half cup of coffee. Bingo! The BM wasn't bad at all while I was going. It was soft and not a lot of quantity (wish there had been more). Wiping is tricky. I just patted and dabbed, then got in the bath. When I got out I used Davo's hair dryer method of getting all dry down there, on the cool setting of course.
My CRS nurse called and I got to ask her all the questions I had. She said my doc described my fissure as impressive! Very large, and he cauderized it (fulgaration) which is my source of burning pain I guess. She said it'd be 4 or 5 days of this due to the large size of it, that it should take longer than the average fissure to heal due to that. Lucky me.
I looked at it in a mirror. There is already some visible bruising and it's puffy looking. I can see where the fissure is/was. It's kind of blackish, and bleeding a little.
The pain I feel is a mild burning and I'd rate it a 5 out of 10. Definitely not as bad as the pain I was in before the procedure. It's similar to how your anus feels after diarrhea, maybe a little sharper but very tolerable.
So, that where I'm at midday, the day after my LIS.
Not bad.
Oh, and the nurse gave me a great tip: I have wipes (Prep H wipes and Cottonelle) which seem to burn a little. She said to rinse them with water before using.
