Great post Welsh! Ha ha. Not sure how everyone would have reacted to it! Botox in the butt! Eh? Yes my gas was coming out anytime anywhere, I had to make a few quick exits! You are doing great! OMB and JHH I don't know how much I had, but I will ask next time. I am curious now... The CRS might wonder why I want to know.

Butt blog update: day 20
Not as great today. Had a BM at lunch time which hurt a little as it passed the fissure. Then another BM after tea time this evening. First few stools were formed and then there was a bit of a plug effect. Formed stools hurt a little. No razor pains though. Little bit of blood while wiping.
Not a great event as I haven't see blood for a good few days. I ate some whole wheat pasta yesterday for lunch and the evening before. I also had to swap from Movicol to the stool softener that my GP prescribed - Laxido.
Slightly bummed now. Guess it's back to square 1. Start from the start again.
Welsh regressing :(

So sorry :(
Why did you have to swap to laxido?

I ordered Movicol off the Internet after trying some of my grandads. When I went to the GP to get signed off work, I asked if I could have some movicol and he have me Laxido. It's effectively the same but orange flavoured and cheaper for the pharmacy.
I'm not sure if its the changeover or my diet.
Will monitor over the next few days.

I know where your coming from, I felt the same after a difficult second bm on Sunday.
Don't worry... You will get there again.. It just takes a bit of time.
You can buy movicol from asda pharmacy s if you want to go back to it... And get your dr to write out another prescription for movicol if you feel better taking it.

Butt Blog update: day 21 (three weeks post fissurectomy, skin tag removal & Botox)
Image
Difficult BM this morning, small BS 1 then a slight plug effect. Lots of blood in the pan. Fair amount of blood when wiping. Then another BM this afternoon with a fair amount of blood when wiping. If say the pain is around 3/10 - nowhere near as painful as pre-surgery (8/10) or post-surgery (10/10). So I guess that's the Botox working.

I've just bought some more movicol (to replace Laxido) and I'm going to avoid brown pasta from now.
Fissure is still bleeding a couple of hours later - this is new. Maybe a sitz bath is in order.
I will beat you Fissures!!!Image
