Why do you think your fissure is not healed? If it is even mostly healed, do you think they would do a fissurectomy? Why go through surgery if you are not in any real pain?
Have you taken any OTC for the soreness this time around?

Kim - I actually put some left over nitro for the soreness on this time.
My fissure is healed because it closes but the scar tissue acts up all the time, which leads me to believe it is not healed. I just think if they took out this rooten scar tissue, all would be normal again. A couple months prior to my LIS, my fissure would heal for a month at a time, then break open again, much like it is doing now. Now, there is no blood and not as much soreness. The sorness pre LIS would last like 3 days. I guess there is pernament healing - like you have expirienced - and to me my healing is always temporary. Plus, I am still taking benefiber to soften my stools, and I an still having problems with my butt!!??? Ahhh!!! Thanks for listening to me vent!

I see what you mean, and why you are a bit worried. I suppose a CRS could tell you after an exam if you need further work but I would still think you need more time.
Like your avatar; my Grumpster is going to be an actual fissure, not poop! I guess that's even worse! Image

I would just like to add that the baby training potty is totally clean because my 2 year old son refuses to use it! It seems to be a sort of game - we put Mr. Poo in the potty and tell him thats where pee pee & poo poo go!

So it is a teaching aid too! Wonderful-it does have some of the same poop colors!
You're gonna be okay, Jen. Things have been a lot worse and you got over it. Let's concentrate on how far you have come in such a short amount of time.

Jen,
I know you are worried also about "being OK" so you can have another baby. You are like me in many respects--always thinking about the "what if's," but I am sure everything will work out just fine.
