Re: Wiping too hard or too much

I used to use Cottonelle with Aloe and E. Very soothing and not bad when you dampen it. I also dab with swabs that I wet. Expensive, but helped me. And my Sitz Bath. (I am in the US).

Re: How can I tell whether I have spasms?

If you had spasms, believe me you'd know. They are similar to having a cramp in the calf that goes on and on, hour after hour. Give me childbirth any day!

Re: Seton wound is bleeding

:huggies: :huggies: I think you need to speak with your surgeon. It could be just from the surgery, but I would rather be sure. Do not ignore it.

Re: Constant Pain

Hope it's a CRS doing this and not a GP. Look at this link for "Dilation". Forcible anal stretch sounds a little similar, but the words of choice sound a bit drastic... http://anal-fissure.org/search.php?keywords=Dilation&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=titleonly&sr=posts&...

Re: Fistula Since EST 2010

Sorry for what you're going through, but have to tell you that you cannot cure a fistula/abcess without surgery. Can you not find a good surgeon, and discuss paying it off over time? It is a wretched medical system here, that you cannot get the help you need. I am in another 'boat' so to speak. I ha...

Re: Anal Dilation: Has anyone used Hegar dilators for AD?

Your bum is worth the money!

The pediatric ones are much the best - but just my opinion.

Re: Salt Water Flush and Fissures

Jdirect. You might want to read this article on NPR. The medical profession describes flushing out toxins as 'a load of baloney'. Personally, I would never recommend flushes and cleanses. Drink a suitable amount of water and eat sensibly. You do not want to reduce the nutrients in your body. http://...
