Hi,
Newbie here. I hope Im doing this right. I was diagnosed in Nov of 07 with this fissure. I am using diltiazem as we speak and on my 4th week. Anyone have good results with this?

Absolutely stick with that cream :) this worked for me before, took a little longer than 12 weeks so hang in there !

I used Nitro and Nefidapine creams and they gave me good relief and I healed eventually but had my fissure reopen soon after again. It is definitely possible to heal with creams but you also have to take care of diet (making sure that your poop is very soft) and take regular sitz baths every day. I hope that you are not in too much pain : (((. I wish you best of luck and welcome to our forum !!!

OJ with tablespoon of Benefiber
cup of coffee
apple or banana
1 Cup of Raisin Bran
Lunch:
Whole wheat bread with turkey
Oatmeal
Cranberry juice and 1 tblspn of benefiber
Supper:
usually chicken or pasta
veggies varies
Bedtime:
Glass of Plumsmart

I am glad you see an improvement :) diet, water and stool softners are the key...NEVER let that slip while you are healing :)

Yes Sorry I did not mention over 64 oz of water per day but I did that prior to the fissure
