:hi: gorgeous people
Its been a few days since ive had a BM (damn constipation!!)
I have now been blessed with waking up a zillllllion times during the night to pee (and last night i thought i was getting stabbed feeling that i had to stop midstream coz of the pain) then getting back into bed with lovely pains (the bladder infection pain mixed with a kidney pain + muscle pain) .. oh the JOYS ..
During the day at work i felt so sick not knowing what on earth is occuring from my stomach down
I am worried im going to strike an earthquake when i eventually do a BM .. yeahhh cant wait
Although my specialists appt is in 21 days, i couldnt wait any longer, plucked up the courage and went to see a local doctor
She sent urine sample to be analysed, I am also getting a blood test done tomorrow to check my thyroid and iron levels (i bet im still anemic) and other things in my body and then .....
i had the dreaded exam ... YUP ... what i thought was going to be a 'have xrays or ultrasound' turned into my worst thought come true...
she said 'i need to examine your bum'
i think the mortified look

on my face said it all
she checked my poor sore bottom and said 'You have a fissure'
well, i have never been so shocked yet relieved that i know what it definately is.
I was prescribed a cream which is to heal 'Rectogesic' ?
I am also to use Dyphalac (i think im spelling it right) to soften BM and take fibre and eat a lot of veggies & fibre foods.
I am to try this for 3 weeks and if it doesnt work, I have to go back for other options (lets hope it gets better as i dont want surgery)
Lecia:
i really feel for you, you are going through so much

but your advice with the hot baths works wonders Oh and the breathing, i can definitely say that i feel like a pregnant women breathing HEEE HEEEE HOOO HOOOO & i breath soooo much that i get so dizzzy and nearly fall off the toilet LOL but yep breathing does help (i think when i get married and have kids, i will have the breathing downpat hahha)
You're correct in saying it feels like you're getting ripped apart and the blood only confirms it. I dread the doing the deed but the aftermath (the spasmy party down there) must be the worse.
I havent heard of Senna, is it a drink or cream?
I think I will stock up with some baby cream's next time im shopping at BIGW, anything that helps a baby's bottom must be great for us
Lecia, I really hope you get better, as if labor isnt enough for a woman and then you get a fissure! AND .. thank you once again for the kind words, it really helps to talk to other who are experiencing the SAME thing
I had the courage to tell my best friend and although he feels for what im going through, it didnt stop him cracking the bum jokes .. oh well, he made me laugh even though i know its not a funny matter
Hugh,
i try to drink water but will admit that im drinking a bit more than what im used to .. although im still constipated and havent gone in days, i dont want to force it (i think thats whats caused the fissure in the first place .. forcing something that wasnt ready to be released)
i am changing my diet habits (yes im taking your advice) but the dairy i had no idea .. BUT i have cut drinking hot chocolates and replaced with water(and cordial) Baby steps for me eheheh but thank you for edging me on :alien:
Question: is it Hugh or Kim? sorry dont wanna offend if im getting it wrong
Happyass,
ewwww the prune juice eww i can still taste it from this morning but nonetheless i will still drink it (that and the fact its so damn expensive by the bottle LOL) havent tried eating them though but i will think about trying one and see .. baby steps ..
this is for everyone ...

you guys are the best!!!
OH, one question (sorry if its silly) but how do you all get an avatar?
