I’m travelling for new treatment

Postby hurtinend » 26 Oct 2019, 14:18

since my pain is more widespread essentially rectal and bladder... so I’m stamped as a chronic pelvic pain patient

I’m going to California for treatment at a pelvic pain clinic.

There is a book out there called:
“Headache in the Pelvis”

It may not apply to all but it addresses the issues of muscle tension in the pelvic floor...I believe many fissure sufferers can relate.

Since I have no visible fissure any longer I’m going to go for it. They go up in the rectum and locate trigger points, and gently manually release them.
Then they teach you how to use a TheraWand so you can work at home.

They also address the psychological issues of pain and the brain.

It’s called the Wise Anderson Protocol and was pioneered at Stanford University

thank you Patience...you have been a great support

My sister is paying for it. She is distraught over my condition and lack of available treatment.

The clinic is in Santa Rosa. I’m hoping to get in on the next clinic date in December

well this plan has taken a turn....

The clinic does internal TheraWand trigger point release and up until now I could not find a pelvic physio in my area that does internal rectal muscle release on men

Low and behold, my doctor found one. She is considered an expert in pelvic physio, she uses internal rectal massage and trigger release and she treats men

So....instead of travelling to California and shelling out approx $12,000.00 Canadian dollars i don’t have...well I’m going to give this physio here a go at me first.

She’s a tad busy but I have an appointment first week of January

I'm glad you found someone local! It sounds like she will definitely be able to help you. Just remember that PT requires homework to be really successful, so you need to be committed thoroughly for this to work.
