Since my original post I thought i would update. I am seeing progress but i am definitely not there yet. The other day i had a large chicken burger and omelette. Well it didnt go to well. I was extremely sore afterwards for for several days. With the cold sitz baths, Christian meditation and relaxation exercises along with the pelvic floor breathing 3 times a day , increasing my magnesium intake (game changer) along with vitamins and minerals. Progress is gradual but recovery times are improving. Non steroid Anusol and ibuprofen seem to help in the bad times. Also being a Christian - prayer is a daily thing! Diet recently is mostly eggs, cucumber, black seedless grapes, pitted olives, tomatoes, 3 or 4 probiotic yoghurts a day., tomato soup and i have 4 small pieces of wholegrain toast (i think US bread is different than UK bread) as USA bread is possibly illegal here). All this is spread over 3 meals a day with soup at lunchtimes. 1 Laxido sachet at 8am and 1 Laxido sachet at 8pm. A small amount of Sudo cream is used after each bowel movement to one side of the rim of my anus which seems to be better than too much.

So keep at it folks. Relaxation is IMHO just as important as pelvic floor breathing. Try and eliminate your stressers i,e, watch less news, relax your shoulders and try to stop worrying. Also just one last thing when it i REALLY bad then poop into a lukewarm sitzbath.

Just a note for any partners, family or friends of a sufferer who is reading this. This condition can be some of the most difficult and challenging times in a persons life. So please be understanding all you can. It takes time to get on a proper routine for recovery.
Stay RELAXED folks. Relax your sphincter, shoulders and chin throughout the day and NOTICE when you are tightening up in your posture.

Peace in Christ!

Thank you for your suggestions! Tight sphincter after brutal medical injury is so hard to manage ...but I start each morning with the prayer - so God will keep me and my healing in his field of grace ... I am scared of dilation and just touching my anus- it immediately makes it rock hard ... so I just keep on deep breathing and relaxing ... I wanted to see with you if your sphincter gets less tight like by micro incriments ....like process is so slooow like melting glacial ? Happy baby position I do multiple times a day .... thanks again

Thank you so much for your reply....I am only doing reverse kegels to stretch my anus - dilation is big NO!!! Cause after anoscopy injury- if I try to touch or poke my anus - it goes immediately rock hard ! A lot of members say that I should ignore the whole experience but I get those bad days where its hard to describe symptoms cause they are like at the background or shadows of old pains or like tight anus affecting whole back muscles and giving bad nerve pain in both legs.... Its not 10/10 but its still torturing and I am no near close to tell that I see and feel that this could gwt better one day somehow.....
Before anal fissures I was going 1 year with torn shoulder tendons, then frozen schoulder, then cubital bilateral tunner in bothe elbows, then shoulder bursitis , then elbow and shoulder tendinitis .....and now 10 months this Horror Hell !!!! I ALready got rid of all my belongings and i do not care if I will end up hungry and homeless - as long as I will heal this horror - I will praise JESUS for the rest of my life......

Update.
Well I thought i would post an update as in December i was diagnosed with Addisons Disease although they now think it might be adrenal deficiency. Progress on anal side of things is slow but moving forward. I am still doing pelvic floor breathing and the flare ups are less frequent and less severe. I no longer need to have cold sitz baths but I am still taking 1 movikol/laxido at 11 pm at night and 1 at 11am in the morning. Before I was taking them at 8am and 8pm. 11am and 11pm seem to be more beneficial for some reason. A point I would reinforce is sudocream. I made the mistake previously of putting too much sudocream on. For the last few months I put sudocream on one half of my anus only. Think semicricle instead of circle if that makes sense? But i pretty much always put it on. Another point I would emphasize is using toilet wipes that have no chemicals in whatsoever. The so called sensitive ones i would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND!. The make i use here in the UK are called Pura if you want to goofle them. I am now gaining wait. About 9 months ago I was just under 57kgs clothed. Now I am 63.8kg clothed. So thats a big improvement.

Not sure if i mentioned this before but I bought a book a while ago (but didnt use much) called Pelvic Liberation by Leslie Howard. I am trying some of the yoga type stretches for a Hypertonic pelvic floor which is what my Pelvic Floor Physio says I have. I will keep you posted on how it goes. I'm still doing the pelvic floor breathing 3 times a day as prescribed by my physio. You may want to get the book and have a read. The author says it took 12months for her to heal her tight pelvic floor. Interesting.

Again if you are suffering from really bad sore and inflammation down there try COLD sitz baths after you poop and then ANUSOL cream (the non steroid version).

RELAX RELAX RELAX

Thank you for the book reference...
I was doing Wise Anderson paradoxical relaxation breething - before sleep or when super anxious and tense- i would lay in bed and deep breath and scan with my brain my anal tension and sensations- and just try to accept it and be ok with it... this suppose to reduce anxiety that comes with anal pain and contributes to more pain and anxiety.... as you suggested I continue with max relaxation during BM and no laxatives .....also I am thinking for my mental sanity to start daily jogging - one reddit member did it for his depression die to fissires and it helped immensly....
Hope your BM pains slowly subsiding .... the road is long

Hello UKman,
I was wondering how are you doing? Is your anal sphincter getting more relaxed?
I notice that I get some spells where my farts get more easier to pass and not so restricted and loud....
You are right about deep breathing as offen as posible during the day....
I have another issue related to anxiety and lenght of this condition- sore tense shoulders and neck right upon waking up....also in ALL my dreams I am worried and stressed about my anus- so no wonder i wake up all tense in my all body muscles...
So back to deep breathing, I red Hazey 123 member posts where she told that at the end breathing and time were 2 things that ultimately healed her....
Sending positive healing vibes your way and hope to hear from you
Cheers Vasilisa

Apologies for the delay in replying. I'm still "on the path to healing". Its a bit like a plane journey i guess. Sometimes you hit turbulence. Ha! Well i think things are slowly improving. Just slowly. Still doing my pelvic floor breathing as shown by my pelvic floor physio 3 times a day. In addition the last few day i have been doing 4 deep relaxing breaths in and out to get it more relaxed down there. It certainly makes a difference. My tight pelvic floor/sphincter muscles i personally believe are now 99% stressed based. So those extra deep breaths in addition to my pelvic floor breathing are now my daily routine. I am making a conscious effort to not react to outside triggers and it DOES help. Reading my Bible (Philippians 4:4-9) and also rereading Awaken The Giant Within by Tony Robbins. Hope that helps. Any other questions please feel free to ask. RELAX people R E L A X!!!

Oh and don't forget those deep relaxing breaths before you go to the toilet.

Peace!
