Re: Change in pain and schedule

I don't know if my pain threshold went back up again to manage this new pain, or if its actually a bit better today, but I am able to sit at my desk again thank god.
I can see something swollen down there... could be my skin tag playing up, a 'roid, or even an abscess?!
Either way I want it checked out ASAP and have a new appointment with my CRS on Thursday. Amazing how quick you can get private healthcare here in the UK - I called at 10am Tuesday morning and have an appointment for almost 48 hours later.

I also made a discovery this morning. Its not a hem I have. Its the fissure itself that is a growth of somekind. Its about 1x1cm and very sore to touch. Going to have it checked out, cause I fear its cancer :-(

It won't be cancer. It sounds like it may be an abscess? Apparently if they pop it relieves the pain but you then have a 50/50 change of a fistula forming.
Are you sure you don't have a skin tag from the fissure? I have one and it sits just below the fissure site. Not that I've seen the fissure site myself, but my CRS had a darn good look. I can see the skin tag / hem though and it feels a bit sore to touch. Not very sore, just tender.
Also I think a fissure can start as an ulcer, so it could just be your fissure? Maybe it can end up as an ulcer too and that's what mine is now. I do actually have to ask myself what an ulcer is... it's all so confusing, which is why I'm off to the specialist who knows.

I dont know anymore. I have an appointment tomorrow, so hopefully, I will finally figure out what exactly Im up against.
All my progress seems to be lost too. Im back to square one regarding pain and feeling of fullness. This sucks!!!
No skintag. Just the growth that seems to be the fissure itself.

Your pain will be back to square one because now you are anxious. Your GI tract is wired to your brain, so any worrying upsets the balance and you enter spasm hell. I have always had the worst days if there is a "change" which makes me panic or on weekends because I have more time to worry!
One thing JHH is I believe you really shouldn't be doing too much physical activity while your fissure heals. I know its so dull and boring but probably no exercise is best. I've tried in the past and it always aggravates things for me. If you're a bit anxious like me (it sounds like you are) try and keep your mind as busy as possible. Read a book... anything to keep busy.
I'm a lot better today. My pain was aching / fullness this morning, but ignored that and waited for spasms which never came, so applied Nitro at normal 10am, which didn't seem to do very much. I am virtually pain free now at 1pm. I swear it's because I knew what was coming from yesterday and was more relaxed about the situation. All very, very strange. The knife pains have gone for good and instead I have pressure / ache sensation instead of them. Perhaps this is the last stage of healing for me... I sure hope so.

Im happy to hear you are doing good today, and Im sure as long as you can keep the burning and spasm down, you will be healing every day!
Im quite sure my problems was caused by exercising. I was doing OK until my biketrip yesterday. I was even in pain tonight which is unusual for me. I learned my lesson, and will only do walks from now on. Its just so frustrating to watch yourself loose muscle every day.
Im also strugling with BM's that starts with a hard plug, and then gets soft. Thats just sooo annoying, since I can feel a big difference on the days its all soft. Im doing all the right stuff, but I think I might try to replace my breakfast with something else. I reckon, first in, first out...

I was doing weights and cycling daily last year... managed to gain myself around 10 lbs of muscle (that was my weight gain) in that time. I haven't been able to exercise since early December last year.
Now it's all gone and my arms are back to where they were or dare I say it less. I can feel my t shirts now have slack where they were tight round my arm.
Today on the scales I'm 1stone 2lbs lighter than when I ripped my fissure open 5 weeks ago. You want to know the really annoying thing... my actual body fat doesn't seem to be too much different. So annoying!
Oh god.. you have plug poo too! I get them... avoid potato and salt at all costs, especially combined. Be careful with chicken and bread. No red meat!
I have found I can completely illimminate plug syndrome if I stick to my (rather boring) diet! Vegetable soup with 2 slices of wholemeal bread for lunch and fish with vegetables for dinner. If I have something more substantial for lunch I always make sure I have the soup in the evening. Before each meal I drink a spoon full of olive oil as well.
I went out on Sunday night and had salmon with potatoes and they tasted salty... yesterday morning the plug (actually plugs!) were back! I actually think this may have been responsible for the pains / bad day I had. I'm not eating out again until I'm better so I know whats in the food. I also didn't have the spoon of olive oil so it could have been that.

HELLO , I'M NOT REALLY SURE WHERE TO POST AS THIS IS MY FIRST TIME DOING THIS , BUT I FELT I NEEDED TO SHARE MY INFORMATION . I HAVE BEEN EXPERIANCING ALL THE PAIN AND DISCOMFORT ASSOCIATED WITH A ANAL FISURE .AFTER ABOUT A MONTH OF EXTREME PAIN I WENT TO SEE A SPECIALIST AND HE PERSCRIBED SOME SPASAM CREAM ? I USED IT FOR A WEEK AND FOUND NO RELIEF . AFTER COMBING THE INTERNET I FOUND ONE POST FROM SOMEBODY ABOUT TREATING THE POSSIBLE INFECTION INSTEAD OF THE FISSURE ? I STARTED TO ADD TRIPPLE ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT TO THE PERSCRIBED CREME . AFTER ABOUT TWO DAYS THE RELIEF WAS AMAZING !!!!!!!!!! THIS MAKES PERFECT SENSE . DUE TO THE LOCATION OF THE FISSURE , INFECTION IS HIGHLY LIKELY . IF THE INFECTION IS REMOVED THE BODY MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE TO HEAL ? THE PAIN I WAS SUFFERING CONTINUOUSLY HAS JUST ABOUT STOPPED !!!!!!! I CAN ACTUALLY SIT FOR 10 TO 15 MINUTES . I MIGHT ALSO SUGGEST A COURSE OF ORAL ANTIBIOTICS IN ADDITION TO THE OINTMENT . AT LEAST THIS WILL HELP THE WOUND HEAL . IF THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT PLACE FOR THIS POST , PLEASE COPY AND PASTE IN THE MOST VISABLE PLACE ON THIS SITE AS THIS COULD POSSIBLY GIVE SOMBODY THEIR LIFE BACK .... THANK YOU , GREG
