Ahh yes

We sure are glad to hear that WelshDF. Yes, that odd sting has to fade with time with you keeping up with all your routines and not. I don't know about parting with the Dilt just yet though 'cause just your luck once you get rid of it then a nasty set back can come rearing its ugly head again.

Good luck on that appointment "Straight in the diary!", whatever that means.

Hello buttsicles, it's still a roller coaster isn't it. Diet is great, not incredibly varied I guess but definitely not junk food. I lost a stone after surgery which was mainly from muscle mass but also a little fat too. This helped massively now that I'm back at the gym doing light weights and resistance training. Building my muscles up slowly and it's beginning to show finally. I felt so weak after doing no physical stuff for 3 months.

Had a little issue on Friday where I couldn't poop but felt incredibly full. (I probably could've if I had gone hell for leather on that poop but didn't want to risk a push) in any normal circumstance that poop would've shot out but knowing how delicate it is down there, I had to sit frustrated. Haven't had any blood for a couple of weeks which is great.
Is my Botox still active. I think so. But then again I wasn't sure in the first place.

Bad news though, my appointment next Thurs has been cancelled and they haven't given me a date yet. Curse you NHS!

Other than that, life is pretty good. Promotion (well half a promotion) is good but still on the job hunt. Have a new younger hot guy on the go. He's an outdoorsy type. Things are looking up.

Hope y'all are doing good too.

Hi all i will try to keep this as short as possible, im a 16 year old male sufferer of chronic anal fissure i have had it for around 6 months and the pain after BM usually lasts around 6 hours, that is 6 hours in a bath as that's the only place i can be relatively pain free. also had stomach aches alot of the time.Went to see gp at the start of September and i was told i had a fissure. As if the day could get any worse i was also told i needed to see a specialist about an underlying disease. Went to see special at warwick hospital and he booked me an mri.i was given laxative there so that my colon would be clear so as you could imagine the MRI was the worst 15 minutes of my life. anyway i got told i had an abcsess and there was a small chance chrons was present. Specialist gave me antibiotics and that eased the pain in my stomach temporarily. Got reffered to see another specialist although this one was a CRS. He looked at my fissure and booked me for botox and fissurectomy in 10 days. I was very surprised as i wasn't even a private patient. I am hoping this will fix me and i feel extremely unlucky to have all this at my age.

Hi Fissureteen,
Sorry you are suffering. Things will get better for you... How did the surgery go? You can have your own diary if you post on new topics. Good luck...

Welshy? How are you these days? Did you heal? Xxxxxxx

Good evening my old friends! It's been a while since my last confession!

Thought I'd pop back here and update you on my journey.

It's been over a year since my Botox and double fissurectomy. About 5 years since the symptoms started.
After being diagnosed with chronic fissures, I was put through endless treatment, which were futile.

So the surgery path became the only option. After 6 months of struggling after the surgery, I had my final check up and they were happy with my progress. The very next day I had a retear. Bad times.

I take 2 Movicols (Macrogol) every morning (and have been for a year now). These help massively to keep me regular everyday. Every month I struggle a little with becoming a little dehydrated before my period and would usually have a harder than normal BM. The past few months have been fine though. I try to maintain a healthy diet as drink a lot of fluids.

My BMs, although regular are stupidly thin and the complete opposite of what they were over a year ago. If they get much bigger, I tend to have a little blood.

The pain I used to experience was in the range of 9/10. Now there's barely any pain. I don't enjoy BMs but they are 100% better. I guess I'm just always a little apprehensive before each one.

I'll probably be on movicol for a good while and hope to reduce the amount in a few months so long as I don't have a retear. The Botox has probably long since work off and I'm so glad I had it. It must have worked. My goal now is to get my stools up to a normal average size. I don't know how long away that is though.

I hope my old friends are doing ok. Give me a shout if anyone needs any advice.

Drink plenty and poop gently guys!
