Always remember in these situations to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Good to hear on your potential new beau too.

Hello my butt bloggers, excuse the extended absence, I have missed you all dearly.

So butt update. 13weeks post surgery. 2Movicols at night. Plenty of water. Plenty of chewing. New exercise regime. And things are going pretty well with BMs. I'm down to one a day, usually in the late morning. I still get a bit worried and anxious but I think that will always be the case. Living on the edge.

My BMs are generally Bristol 4s now. A lot bigger than they used to be when I was on 3 Movicols a day. Not as big pre-surgery, those were like tree stums. I get a tiny bit uncomfortable on the build up, but once a that's out it's fine, tiny bit of pushing and we're away, not sure if Botox is still in full swing but I've not had any blood or real pain for 30 days now. After a few BMs I get a bit of a burning sensation but this might be down to the spicy food I eat. My meals have become quite diverse these days. I still try to tread carefully but I'm definitely getting back into my old eatin habits.

I still have a small tag that can get a bit sensitive. But not all the time.

Have a follow up appointment on Thursday in University Hospital Wales. Hoping for the all clear by then.

It's been a long bumpy road but I think I'm very lucky and got off lightly in comparison with a lot of my butt bloggers. You guys have been there for me when I needed that pat on the back, not just the bad times but the good times too.

Had a mini promotion in work afterwards. Not exactly what I proposed but its better than nothing. Hoping the stress won't play havoc with my healing.

Anyway I'll let you guys know how my appointment goes.

Lot of live and healing!

That's great to hear Welsh!!
You sound like you are so close to the finishing post now after the long haul.....
Even now, I still have to take a deep breath before a BM, but it does get easier & easier as time passes.
Hoping you receive some great news at your next appointment xxx

So bit of bad news guys, I accidently missed my appointment, it was last week and I had it written in for this week. What a doof! This means it may be a very long time before I get to see my doctor. I had been waiting 3 months before to see him and after deteriorating and refusing to eat, I was rushed in to see him, it's slightly different this time. So I guess it's just a waiting game. It's all good in the good like I said. I'm still cautious before a BM but never have pain. A bit of a burn or sting every so often but generally all well received.

Oh Welsh what a bummer especially as its your first app after surgery. Hopefully you won't be waiting long for a new one. Glad to read things are good with you. I'm the very same before a bm the fear is in us. Pg with time we will learn to relax.
Take care Welsh x

Hi Everybody,

I just stumbled upon this great site after my Botox procedure 2 days ago!! In the most pain I've been in, more so than before the procedure.

Can somebody please tell me if this pain will disappear or get less????

Hi all!

Good news, I have another appointment at the end of October! Straight in the diary!
BM's are still good, still holding back so as not to push. I'm still getting that odd sting, usually when exercising. Hoping this will fade with time. I've got a tube of Diltiazem which I still haven't opened since my last one. Just keeping it just in case, but to be honest I don't think I'm in trouble any more. If anyone is really struggling to get their hands on it, I'd be happy to send it on.

Hope you're all doing well.
