Hello my butt bloggers, excuse the extended absence, I have missed you all dearly.
So butt update. 13weeks post surgery. 2Movicols at night. Plenty of water. Plenty of chewing. New exercise regime. And things are going pretty well with BMs. I'm down to one a day, usually in the late morning. I still get a bit worried and anxious but I think that will always be the case. Living on the edge.
My BMs are generally Bristol 4s now. A lot bigger than they used to be when I was on 3 Movicols a day. Not as big pre-surgery, those were like tree stums. I get a tiny bit uncomfortable on the build up, but once a that's out it's fine, tiny bit of pushing and we're away, not sure if Botox is still in full swing but I've not had any blood or real pain for 30 days now. After a few BMs I get a bit of a burning sensation but this might be down to the spicy food I eat. My meals have become quite diverse these days. I still try to tread carefully but I'm definitely getting back into my old eatin habits.
I still have a small tag that can get a bit sensitive. But not all the time.
Have a follow up appointment on Thursday in University Hospital Wales. Hoping for the all clear by then.
It's been a long bumpy road but I think I'm very lucky and got off lightly in comparison with a lot of my butt bloggers. You guys have been there for me when I needed that pat on the back, not just the bad times but the good times too.
Had a mini promotion in work afterwards. Not exactly what I proposed but its better than nothing. Hoping the stress won't play havoc with my healing.
Anyway I'll let you guys know how my appointment goes.
Lot of live and healing!
