Hi Missy, metamucil pills have so little and you have to take probably like 20 pills to reach one teaspoon of powder. Less,than 1 teaspoon of fine powder is not going to make a difference. Get it from Amazon, but make sure it is the fine ground powder not the rough one, it makes a difference.
I would use plain psyllium because I think the metamucil has other stuff in it perhaps artificial flavoring not so good for you or citric acid that may turn your poop acid, and that is no good for the fissures. My friend tried the rough poder and it backed her up.
