wound healing... coconuts or lanolin?

Postby workingonit » 16 Feb 2012, 19:26

Hey there,
found some coconut and lanolin as helpful in healing wounds.
I especially was interested in how coconut got rid of head lice. I spent 3 weeks combing my daughters hair recently to get rid of those pesky varmints!

I did find some articles about allergies to lanolin in less than 1% of population. So if you get a rash from wool, best to steer clear of lanolin.

I did test both on my lips.
I did coconut for 10 days, and I found it made my lips nice a soft ( they tend to get chapped easily). But I had to reapply it at least 3 times a day.
The lanolin also make my lips nice and soft. And I only had to apply it once at night and I was good for the next 24 hours (well unless I chewed my lips... bad habit).
