missymoo, I’m sorry to hear that you had pain again today. Take it one day at a time. That’s how I approach each day.

It's just to frustrating after 6 years of this at some stage we must all say right I've had enough. But I'm grateful I haven't had pain during the day like I use too and I just hope i don't go back to that.

After five years the problem for me remains pain at night. Glad that you are getting relief during the daytime, and hope it continues.

Hey everyone *hugs* Im sorry everyone is struggling. Missy, I wish I had solutions for you. I'm 6 months post op. I've been doing great, bms were too loose but all ok. I had a third bm tonight and that one had a long scrape feeling over where my hemm was. No fissure pain but it enough to make check for blood. There was none, I was greatful.

Hi missy, I’m sorry I haven’t been online lately and did not see this. I’m sure the bm issues were down to the worry about the test but as you say this is part of life. It’s such a pain to worry about bm all the time . How are you feeling now?

I’m glad you aren’t too bad missy. I’ve not been doing brilliantly no flare ups but I still have post bm soreness and sciatica type pain in buttock. The gp has put me on amiltripyline which helps with sleep a lot but has yet to help pain (except I guess no big flare ups ). I’ve started on 50mg now and hoping this higher dose will help me.

Hi okaybum- I’m on 50mg dose of amiltripyline - sleep much better but no improvement in pain of noticeable amount. The sciatica I have had in past seems back to stay plus discomfort after bm. Although the post bm soreness does subside usually. I will report back in a few weeks as to if this drug is helping,
How are you okaybum and missy?
Happy new year to us all and let’s hope 2020 will see a respite from our suffering and pains.

Happy new year to you too suemac. I'm doing ok just have off days a couple times a month so gonna be happy with that. I do have a question though don't know if anyone on here will know the answer. So I from time to time will have a normal soft bm with rock hard bits in it! I'm confused as to why or how this is happening when I take softeners and have been eating much better over the last few months. Any idea what this could be caused by?
