Not sure what happened .. I was (and I think everyone was) banned from the site for a while?

I've started the GTN cream again which makes my bum sore :( and have a colonoscopy this week... the prep is scaring me the thought it could make this pain worse again.

I'm now having no good days and if anything the cream makes it worse, but I have to think long run and hope the cream heals the thing behind the skin :( :( :(

I think you need to follow your own judgement - a colonoscopy could be useful for checking to see that there isn't anything seriously wrong, but it's your decision, and you have a perfect right to postpone the procedure or cancel it as you think best.

If the GTN is causing pain, you should tell your GP or CRS, and ask for their advice.

Rothera, I advise against colonoscopy unless a doctor recommended it for your particular situation.

They did the colonoscopy and couldn't see anything regards to the fissure. It's healed up and I have no piles.

The pain or rather discomfort seems worst recently and definitely when my bowls are full or my ibs is playing up.

Its like a none descript stinging or burning which can radiate across my bum. I have to carry a cushion with me as had surfaces seem to annoy it.

Any suggestions? Still us using the cream for another 4/5 weeks.. but I'm worried it's stopped working. No spams yet but they feel like they're just in the verge.

It may be residual muscle tightness that's causing your symptoms. Look up some pelvic floor stretches and try them out to see if that helps before and after a BM.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

It wasn't enjoyable but it didn't impact my bum at all. He was careful and even spent some time checking it.

Hi I seem to be in same position. Been told I have a nicely healed fissure but I'm still in pain. I can't tolerate GTN and anyway it is healed. I am going to look into pelvic floor therapy as I don't know what to do next. I'm usually ok until after a BM then it just starts up sore again.
