Hello everybody
The reason for doing LIS if the third botox was a succes where based on that I then had a tight muscle who needed to be cut permanently.
The case with Internal prolapse seems very strange to me.
The symptoms I have is anal pain, itching, irritation and that "something" sits in anal area.
I have a appointment with a private hospital next saturday. If the CRS thinks a LIS operation can help me if the botox fails i`m gonna jump up on the table in no time :)

It doesn't seem that they have any strong evidence that would point to a rectal prolapse other than your symptoms which could be explained by many other things, like internal hemorrhoids.  They can do some defecography studies to determine if you actually have this.
From what I understand, this type of prolapse occurs mostly in later adulthood or with continued straining, or nerve injury.  I have mucosal (lining of rectum) prolapse but that is because I experienced trauma to the area when giving birth.
I think they will rule this out pretty quickly for you though-maybe they just want to cover their bases.  Good luck tomorrow.

i get that feeling of something "sitting" in the anal canal too, often towards the end of the night. i especially feel it if i eat too big of a meal. i don't remember noticing this until i had my first LIS though. i've never thought too much about it, except that maybe my sphincter is weaker from 2 surgeries or maybe i just need to eat less. it's scary to think it could be a prolapse or something else horrible!! i hope another dr rules that out for you. i've heard other fissure sufferers complain of the same thing though.

Hello
Maybe if I am very very lucky it is internal hemmies who is making me belive it still is the fissure who hurts! I have never thought about it before since the CRS never have mentioned hemmies since I gotta a fissure. Time will have the answer. I pray that the botox *3will do the trick :)

Wow, if the third botox doesn't do it, I'd be *very* surprised!

Lars -
I hope the Botox works and keep us updated! I think they need to do a exam before the tell you about rectal prolapse! Keep us updated! Let me know how the botox goes - it maybe my next step - who knows.
Did you get the abcess from complications of the Rubber banding? I just had the banding done and I am terrified of an infection.

Hello everyone
Back from the hospital with good news. At last did the CRS see i had an incredible tight inner anal muscle. It stood in constant spasm.. Finaly he belived me. :) The CRS used Xyloproct cream before the did the botox. I felt instant relief :) Of course some pain but nothing like before. The fissure itself where almost healed and I had of course inner hemmies. I got a rbl on one of them. Hard to say if it is the xyloproct or botox that made me feel better. I will be able to tell that later on when the xyloproct effect goes away. But I think this turned the tide!
Jen: No I didn`t get the abcess from the rubber banding. That`s a piece of cake :) One morning I just waked up with a real pain in the butt....
Thank you everybody for the great support! I will continue to use this site even after I am totaly healed. I`m sure I will be in a couple of months/weeks. If that fails I`m 100% sure the LIS operation does :)
