I had to switch to Benefiber. Also there are several theories on how to apply it. I tried both just around the area and up there as well. I didnt see either way making it any different. The cream just started working for me at 3 1/2 weeks. Again with the diet that took a while to regiment. Hot baths are great too! I never thought I would say that.

Baths are great! I love them...but then I have to get out and things start feeling worse fairly soon.
I need to buy some Benefiber, I'd like to try it. I worry about anal stenosis, I've read about it on other sites. It sounds very scary and cutting back on stool bulking fiber may contribute to this condition??? I try to keep things fairly soft and moving. Miralax has helped me quite a bit, though I am thinking I should try some magnesium and taper off the miralax.
I've already used the ointment over 6 weeks, I haven't notice much change.

Tabby, I appreciate the encouragement. I will stick with it and hope for the best.
Sorry to hear of your setback, that is a bummer. Hope things will heal up for you quickly.
It is hard to know what to do with fiber. Image
