Thanks for asking Kim Image
I think that my LIS cut has finally healed, because itching on my left side has more or less stopped and I cannot feel things there like I have done before.
I agree with Fissy when she says that the sphincter "regains" it's strength when it is completely healed. Things feel tighter now than the first weeks/months after LIS. I especially have these problems during periods and ovulation. Don't know why, but the whole area is cramping up then and become Image BMs aren't funny then...
From weeks 10-11 I have been able to walk more and if I don't do that it's more uncomfortable. I am very happy I can walk more!
I cannot do any gardening, if I do I get problems and I can feel my sweet fissure or what's left of it.
Haven't had check up after surgery, were supposed to go in June 2nd, but appointment was cancelled...don' know why. Hope I get a new one soon, would like to know how things are down south Image

Corsi -
I have been thinking about you! I am glad your cut finally healed. Mine took a while to heal too.
How many weeks/months now since your LIS? What percentage do you think you have healed? How often are you having blood?
I feel like my sphincter has regained alot of its strength too - I agree with you and Fissy on that one.

So you are getting better and better over time but you still aren't 100%. Image Well, it's a real shame about the gardening. Sounds like you want to be out there digging! So they didn't reschedule you yet?
Things are OK down south, it keeps raining though and I am beginning to wonder if it will ever stop. It does help keep things a bit cooler here, though, and that is a relief!

Had LIS on February 23rd. I don't know how much I have healed, but Jen most BMs post LIS have been a walk in the park compared to before. I think we have to be careful for a long time or always maybe? That area is compromised.
It's strange because I have had more BM problems this last month than first 2 months after LIS Image
Feel tighter, but as long as I don't tear I'm happy. Last time I bleed was around May 14th.
Kim, you are right - not 100%, but as long as I feel that it's going the right way, I guess I should be satisfied?? I just have to accept that it will take more time than expected and that I have to listen to my body. It could have been so much worse... I have to stay positive :)
Yes Kim, I would LOVE digging in my garden - it's theraphy for me...but maybe next year, who knows???
How hot is it in Georgia now? Is it humid? How are you?
Hope we all heal Image

Corsi,

You don't have to be satisfied, but what good will it do to worry when you see you are getting better over time? Yes, do stay positive and as long as you get better in increments then oyu will get there eventually.
I am Ok. The humidity is terrible here, it has been raining a lot and when the sun does come out it seems like a very hot sauna.
You will all heal, butt problems are not forever! Image
