Wow, thanks for the update, after so long time.
Can you tell us, how long time it took before you were painfree and had no more symptoms?

- Fissure developed in Jan '13
- Started rectogesic in Feb '13 and diltiazem Apr '13.
- Got botox Jun '13
- Healed by Okt '13, although I still had some irritation for about a year.
- New fissure April '22, healed June 2022
- New fissure 24. December 2023

Pretty much immediately after the surgery I was free of that horrible pain (you know the pain I'm talking about). I still had to heal from surgery and was a bit sore, but that horrible, unbearable pain was gone. Healing from the surgery took about a week or less. BM scared me because I didn't want to tear, so for about a month or two after surgery I took MiraLax daily. I now take psylluim fiber daily because I never want to go back to where I was. Good luck, I hope things get better for you.

Wow this is just what I needed to read in a mum of two young boys nervous an having the same procedure in a few days, you rock im trying to think positively and hoping I have a story to tell just like yours : )
