Yesterday was a good day.... Today is a painful one, this is what I don't get about fissures.... Bring on the LIS!!!

Today is not such a good day for me either. Partly my fault I did not do miralax and I did not eat my usual oatmeal with fiber. uggg 2 more weeks for my surgery... went and had my blood work done today

I only missed one of my four-a-day laxatives yesterday and it's noticeable today, it's not good because I haven't been for a BM yet which is unusual for me and I now have a dull ache in my rectum...

I am so sorry guys to hear that : (((. Yes - one small glitch and "butt revenge" is in stake : ((((.
Once you find the "magic" combo of diet and laxatives - you just HAVE to be on that regiment religiously !!!! AND for many, many months even when you heal natural way since re-tear is very likely !
That was one of the reasons I decided to have the LIS - I wanted more permanent solution

I know but, I just wanted a piece of fried chicken vs vegtables or salad... ugggg I know better... now I am paying for it.

Unfortunately only one "but" equals one VERY painful "butt"

I really hope you will fix this problem very soon and once and for all.
Just remember - even if you decide to have a LIS - you HAVE to stay on a healthy diet for at least a year since that tissue needs about 8 mos to regain just 80 % of the pre-fissure strength !!! You have to have a long term goal as a motivation

No chicken is worth your pain ; ) - right ; ))) ???!!!

Temptation is a terrible thing and the brain will play tricks, for instance I can sometimes imagine the smell of a joint of beef or a steak, or sometimes it could be the smell of a KFC or Maccy Dees, drives me insane and the mouth goes into drool mode, I know if I ate any of the above my mouth would have an orgasm but my a$$ would be crying :(

How about you cheryl, are you able to eat normally now that your healed or does the diet still play a big part in your life?
