Good luck :)
If your fissure is small 2-4 mm you should heal completly in about 1-2 months.

But you have to ask yourself, what is the aftermath if you don't get the operation? More of the same? Only you can decide if it is right for you.

Nothing is as bad as fissure-pain!
Good luck, and please dont panic too much, you'll get through it and you'll be fine - its not too bad!

Hi Everyone!
So here I am 48 hours after surgery and I'm very happy to report that I'm almost 100% PAINFREE!! LIS surgery is the best decision I feel I've ever made! The night before surgery I had a dream that my surgeon said that this is what I needed to do to heal....it was my very first dream about this whole ordeal. I feel my body was protecting me before by not allowing me to dream about the fissure or the pain.
I had my first BM this morning, it was mildly tender going by the incision site but there was no fissure pain and I still have no pain. I have just a little tenderness at the incision site but that's all....the tenderness is so mild I feel like I don't even need to mention it. I've needed no pain meds at all....I took a few regular advil just for swelling but that's it!
I am still being very very careful with my diet....loads of water, fiber and not eating too much at one sitting. If everything keeps going like this I don't think I'll have a problem healing but I also don't want to jinx myself!
Thank you for all the support...it means a lot. I will keep you all updated in the coming days/weeks.
For those who are going for this surgery, I wish you luck. It's like a miracle! And I have no incontinence!!!
I'll post again soon!

So happy for your sake Tamara Image a little tenderness at the incision is nothing compared to the regular fissure pain...
Hope you heal completely, and will be able to enjoy your baby....

That is wonderful news! So glad it is over and you are feeling so much better. Don't get discouraged if you have days where you don't feel as great-that is normal, but celebrate that you are in a much better place now! Image
