Hi OMB, just checking in and dropping by to say good luck on the continued healing! I'm glad your stingy soreness is gone and I am crossing my fingers for you that the discomfort will go away soon as well. :) Keeping you in my thoughts!

Morning all,
This must be day 16... And things seem to be going well, I think!
I have dropped back down to 1 1/2 sachets of movicol with no problems. I am still using my hydrocortisone cream to see if it will get all the lumps and bumps to go down a bit.... Anyone got any suggestions on how to calm those as I will only use it for ten days, just to be on the safe side.
Bms are painless... But it all feels so so numb down there I have trouble knowing when I'm done... Or if I need more... It's very odd!
Thanks Rachael, torn and Edel for checking in on me..Image

Hey OMB, great news that you don't feel anything down there. I'm day 16 too of Botox (&excised fissures) and not sure if my Botox is up and running yet. Just had a #6 BM and for the first time the whole thing didn't hurt! I'm currently on 3 Movicol after each meal & Eugh prunes. This was to counterbalance my Ovaries calling the shots for a week, I think they steal my water. Keep updating about how many you're taking, I fear this will be an 'adjusting throughout the month' thing for me.
Good to hear you're on the mend!
Take care

Day 17
Image   Had the dreaded 2nd bm yesterday and then felt really sore... Could feel that stinging fissure pain right at 6 o'clock.  Image
Sore today. Just when I thought I was doing so well.....  Anyway, I'm putting it down to a minor blip and hoping to get back on track in a day or two.

Oh OMB, So sorry. Those awful second BM'S.That is what has caused me problems on both occasions when i have had setbacks. I hope that you can get back on track, it may only be a minor setback.I know you feel disheartened now, but you will get back on track.

owmybum, don't let a set back take away your hopes, just make sure you are doing the right thing to keep the area happy, make sure you lubricate the area for your BMs.
I still do that even when I am healed I take all the necessary precautions if I am having more than two BMs in a day, I still get occasional diarrhea and when it hits me all day like today I just behave like the fissure may open again and I got back to pre healing routine.
I hope you feel better soon.

Day 19
Still feeling very sore. I don't think it's from the fissure, but from all the lumps and bumps I have. I'm feeling quite deflated to be honest... Thought I would be a lot better by now.... I know it's going to take time.. But I feel worse than when I went in to have it done!!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can turn a corner soon.
