Day 11
I had to go out and run some errands today... And I'm suffering for it now. Feel very puffy and sore.
I will take it easy tomorrow! Lesson learned... I'm not out of the woods yet!

Take a rest OMB, take it easy.
Btw, I was trying to find your story, but you have so many posts on forum, so it was quite difficult.
How did you get this unhealed place? Removed some hemmies?

Hi OMB,
Did you cut back on movicol? I'd be terrified to reduce it so early after surgery. Even though I take same amount of movicol everyday I have a different BM never the same. I feel the same this evening I went to work for 3 hrs & although I didn't do a lot I was on my feet & feel very sore now so it's the sofa for the evening for me.
I hope you have nice relaxing evening too & take it easier tomorrow. 😊

Hi OMB, I too tried a little errand running today. Nothing big just a trip to the drugstore and the grocery store.. I was out an hour tops. It made me feel good but at the same time sore!!
I guess it's a reminder that we need to take it easy sometimes, especially when we are trying to give the body a chance to heal! I hope your soreness goes away soon, take it easy for a little while! There's no point in setting yourself back when you are so close to winning the fight!

Hi OMB, just read through your thread. Sounds like you are doing really well! From what I understand the effects of botox peak at around week 2, so the fact your seeing improvements this early sounds really good to me. After I had botox my sphincter was still really tight until about day 14.
I notice you mention you had a bit of a stretch? I ve not heard of that before, did he manually dilate your sphincter a little bit. I would guess that will help things remain a bit looser.
Anyway, make sure you stay strict with your diet. And when I say strict, dont punish yourself. I have learnt now that its not about starving your self, or being rediculously strict. Just make sure you are having about 30 grams of fibre and plenty of water. I got over confident when I had botox and got a kebab, and it set me back.
You get about 3 months of botox effect to heal so you really need to make it count.
Hope you are still doing well.

Thanks ETO... Hug much appreciated!
Rachael.... I'm not too bad ....the stingy soreness has gone... And I just feel lumpy and tender now really.
Thanks for dropping in Andy..... The stretching bit is really just the manual stretching that has to be done to have a good look in there and get the injections done in the right place... Mr W said that that bit of a stretch will often loosen things up a bit. I am being super super careful with my diet... I agree.. I really need to make this count.
I am taking two sachets of movicol.. And feel I should go back down to one and a half... But I am very scared to do this... But I feel my bms are just that bit too soft, and when I need to go... I definatly need to go ASAP!!Image
I'm so glad to read that this surgery has worked for you and you can go about your normal life with little to no irritation... You can now look forward to your move and job with out the distraction and pain of the fissure... And well done for eating some pizza... It takes some really strong mental will power to overcome the long ingrained fear you have inherited over certain types of food... I would be exactly the same! Well done you!!!
