Hi, owmybum. Sorry you're still having so much trouble. Maybe your fissure has too much scar tissue involved with it and that's why it's not healing or staying healed. A fissurectomy scrapes the scar tissue away so you start with fresh tissue. It gives you a better chance to heal. Maybe that might help you. I hope you heal soon so you can get back to a more normal life without so much discomfort. All the best Suzy.

Yes, this is million dollar question. Can we compare fissures/ulcers with pressure ulcers?

I really don't know about that one... I thought a fissure looked more like a mouth ulcer.? I've never seen mine!
Not feeling as sore today... I still need to get the Himalayas to go down, as I feel most of my grief from them I think!
Using anusol with hydrocortisone for another couple of days to see if that will do the trick.

Thanks rich..... I'm seeing mr W again on the 23 August for a follow up. ... How are you?
Still battling my ever lumpy swollen mountain range. I have tried icing, anusol, hydrocortisone, warm baths... I just don't know what else I can do about them. I feel that if they were just to go down I would be doing so much better.
I have spent most of the day pottering and relaxing in the garden.. And my bum feels better for it.
Anyone have any suggestions for these pesky hems? I think it may be worth a drs visit if it persists.
