what does the botox injection process involve?
and do you know of any particular reason why it was never mentioned once to me by the rectal expert?

That's a bit spooky JHH as I just came on to write an update and saw your message, great minds think alike!

Feeling a bit low about it all. I had a follow up appointment last week to talk about how my second round of botox went, but my little girl was in pain and she obviously comes first. Her doctors appointment clashed with my follow-up and it was the only appointment the doctor could give her, so I sacrificed my appointment for hers...obviously. Problem is I now have to wait another 6 weeks for my appointment :-(

I still have a little bit of bleeding every now and again, and I also have burning every now and again too, sometimes bad enough to take pain-killers. This is not all the time though by any means and the pain level is very small compared to before the botox obviously. Except sometimes when I get terrible pain that lasts about 10 mins, not sure what that is all about!

So, not sure really. Probably will end up having to have something else done like LIS, I don't know really. Also been very stressful times as girls have been ill and had problems bless them, plus we are trying to move house! :-(

Hope you are ok JHH and anyone else reading.

SS, guess it really was time for an update then!

Sorry about your girls, sick kids are the worst huh. And it indeed does sounds stressful to be you right now. Good luck on the house move also!

To be honest, it does sounds like you still have an (at least partially) unhealed fissure, but only a doctor will be able to tell you how much healing is going on. Guess we will know in 6 weeks. By then, you will also be able to evaluate the full effect of your second botox.

But don't loose hope yet, low painlevel, and not being in spasms for hours daily are good signs, and its only been like 2-3 weeks, so you still have plenty of botox-time to heal in.

Im doing pretty good thank you. Even 11 months after my botox, things are still slowly improving.

Hi JHH,

Yes I tend to agree. It's been 6 weeks since 2nd round, hasn't that flown! But, by the time I have my follow up it will be 3 months, which like you I agree will give me (and them) a better idea of how the healing has gone.

So pleased to hear you are still ok. Even though it's not me who's healing I am always delighted to hear about anyone who has healed! :-)

Off out tonight with my girlfriends, need to relax a bit! I phoned ahead and the chef is doing me some sweet potato fries, hooray! :-) A few wines will be consumed too!

Have a great weekend everyone
