MPB. Over the past 3 days I have had 2 Bm each day as I think I had a touch of food poising Sat night. I felt a rumble in my stomach early Sunday and I had alot of loose Bm so I think that irritated me more then normal. I have cocunut oil may try that. My stomach seems to have settled down so will see what happens. If it isnt one thing its another

Hi Jim, I live in fear of an upset stomach as I don't think I could cope....hopefully it's all done for you now and you can get back to normal.
Had a BM this morning quite large Bristol 4 left a bit of residue so there was stinging but pain again didn't really go above a 4 managed to go to the gym and did a Pilates class...have discovered that standing still, still hurts me more than sitting or walking but did enjoy the class and managed to do most of it.
I really really hope that my BMs somehow manage to stay like this as it is so nice not to have any spasms and no real pain just a bit of stinging and burning.

MPB Yes thats about the level of my discomfort. I also notice that trapped gas causes the same burning and stinging. I haf alot of that last night but after lots of water and some food I had a large Bm but it was softand normal .Pain was about 3to4. Been eating more veggies plus water
Keeping it soft. I can handle this and my stomach upset has been relieved and normal again. Yes having a upset stomach
With this is not good.

Hi Jim,
Was your fissure anterior or posterior as I find the softer BMs cause me more pain....I agree about the gas that does cause stinging for me too...how are you at standing still as that sets off the stinging even if I haven't had a BM that day...strange....wish I could eat some veggies I might try if I can keep at one BM a day for a few more days, but not sure if that will happen

MPB mine posterior. Maybe thats why they come out no pain only after. Standing walking or laying down off My Butt causes hardly any pain. Mine is mostly sitting and that sets mine off so it may have to do with being posterior instead of anterior not sureYes the veggies sure make me go so yea be careful.Just getting up from my overnight work and am sitting. Pain maybe a 2 so not bad much better then last night before BM and passing gas. Now I know what is causing it and how to deal with it. Like many have said find what works best for you and stick with it

Mines posterior too so perhaps my BMs are more acidic due to my crohns hence why the softer ones hurt more. I'm okk sitting but I do tend to sit more on my hip than my actual butt lol...always have done.
I agree we are all so different and what works for one person wouldn't for another, def if we find something that works we have to stick to it...that's the reason I haven't eaten fruit in 18 months lol
Glad your feeling better today again

MPB Yes I was told that acid does effect the levels. For me its plenty of fiber water and veggies. My understanding is I have to keep things moving. All it takes is one hard one and rught back to square 1. I will avoid that at all cost

It's so strange my ideal is a Bristol 3, even a 4 can cause way too much stinging and the toothpaste texture of a 5 would just kill me....both have fissures from different reasons so I guess it makes sense that different BMs are better for us lol

They say the ideal BM is coming out in small soft blobs so Sometimes I see that most if the time its sausage shaped. Guess it all depends on diet

I think everyone's ideal BM is different...my CRS says the soft smooth sausage is the best...I try and aim for that shape just a bit firmer lol
