All the best tomorrow, and as mpb says, since you have no other issues, you'll probably recover very quickly.

Just a quickie to say I'm back home after having the LIS this morning.

Not in too much pain ATM, had 2x para and a coedine to help navigate the bumps on the half hour ride home..ouch! :D

CRS said AF was high up the posterior anal canal and appeared to be partial healed, though to stretch me to see the full extent may well have reopened it, so he decided to leave well alone and just perform the LIS.

Going to sit down to a meal now, though sitting might be a bit optimistic! :D

Thanks again for all the messages of support, will update agin tomorrow...

Oh Mr F that's great if it is partially healed then your recovery should be quicker and much less painful.

Thank you very much chachacha and mpb!

Been a reasonably comfortable evening, and just taken 1 ibuprofen so far since I got home. Managed to get a light fish meal down. The main problem ATM is I have pretty bad wind and finding it difficult and painful to release, so got a bit of stomach ache as a result. Making me a little bit apprehensive of first BM ! Dressings have also slipped, so will need my dad's help there in a minute lol!

All in all pretty pleased so far, but don't want to tempt fate (touching wood as I type! :D ) as I know I've still got quite a few hurdles to clear.

Will update again tomorrow, thanks again for your encouragement!

Thank you patience & healing, hope your recovery is going well too...

Had a relatively comfortable night's sleep, and was surprised to wake up on my back - there's been times when I couldn't do this before due to the pressure on my Fissure! Despite the bulky dressings down there, feels quite comfortable and unless I'm imagining it, already feels less pressure from the IS.

Pain isn't bad at all right now, in fact when stood I feel almost normal, so just taking 2 x para every 4 hrs - though still not had the dreaded first post-LIS BM yet...

Hey Mr F
That sounds great, hopefully you will have a smooth recovery.
I wouldn't worry too much about the first BM lots of people find it easier than pre LIS, no reason you can't be one of the lucky ones.
I'm sure this will be a smooth journey for you it def sounds like it could be
