Thanks again for all the messages folks!

mpb - lol ! That's exactly what I decided to do. Stop reading! Plenty of time for that if things don't go smoothly, but unless its a placebo effect, I'm already starting to feel a little better, and certainly less swollen. Great to hear that you're now living life again...well deserved! 8)

Patience_and_healing - thank you ever so much for this information! :thanx: Very useful to know and I've copied your post to my records, just in case these are things I need to look into more, when I next see my CRS. Pleased to hear too, that your relatives both recovered from the condition.

Kv12 - thanks for your generous offer - that's closer than some people are prepared to get to my backside! lol! Besides, I've already given myself a crude waxing, when I first removed my padding/bandages after the LIS ! :affraid:

Jim - Really hope you get some good news this Thursday - will keep everything crossed for you!

You're very welcome Mr. F. Pilonidal cysts are nasty little things and the sooner they're dealt with the better.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

Mr F. Thanks for the support. Last few days have been much better. Probably because I have been eating nothing but fruits and veggies. Metamucil and oatmeal and 80 oz of water. Didnt have a BM untill today and nice and soft smooth hardly any pain. No lasting stinging. Couple of flareups nothing severe short lasting. Sometimes I am my own worst enemy as I thought I could eat whatever I wanted and it appears if I do my fissure well let me know about it. It said that constipation and having a tight muscle is the reason this happens. Guess I sgould follow instructions and stop eating things that cause the problem. I am still going to have my Uroligist check my urinary tract as well as the prostate. Process of elimination. I hope the meds for the cyst work out for you. I bet they do . Best to you

Hi Jim, sorry to hear you couldn't get answers yesterday, hopefully the Anoscopy will reveal what your problem is.

As for me, the first lot of tabs haven't made the slightest bit of difference on my Pilonidal Sinus, and I'm on my final day now! :( Still sore, can't sit down for any length of time and get that pullling sensation on walks. I'll contact my CRS over the weekend to ask for the topical cream antibiotics to be made up for me, but not holding out much hope for that, if I'm honest. Elation has sunk into a depressed resignation as the days have passed by.

I'm still very sore around my anus and inside my rectum too, can barely believe my Fissure is supposedly healed, surely it shouldn't be so tender if that were the case?!

Wishing you good luck today, Jim, keep us up to speed,
Mr F

Mr F so sorry to hear and I know the frustration and depression that comes with this not to mention the pain discomfort and irratation. I know for me the condition has made my life pretty challenging to say the least. I keep doing what I have always done and continue to bear tge discomfort. Its good to know that we are not alone in this. Hopefully the future promises better days. Unfortunatly
That is not the case at this time. Although progress has occured I still cannot sit for long periods of time as well. UntillbI am able to do so I do not consider myself healed nor rid of whatever seems to be the problem which I am hopeful Anoscopy will reveal. I will keep on trudging along. It is def taking its toll on family as I find myself dissasociating with people places and things.

Hi Mr F
So sorry the tablets don't seem to have worked. I'm sure you will get this sorted. As for the fissure pain mine was still sore for about 3/4 months even though it was completely healed at week 10. I think it must take time for the nerves to switch off as they have been so hightend for so long.
I know I go on about colodial silver and oregano oil but they are both used so successfully in Germany to treat bacterial, fungal and viral
infections. The silver doesn't burn at all and can be applied straight to the area, just thought it was worth a mention as it can't hurt and may help
Jim I'm sure you will have more information to go on once you have had the anoscope I gav had quite a few of those and thankfully have only ever had one painful experience

Hi Jim,

I can relate to everything you've written in your last post, as if I'd written it myself! One of the worst things about all of this is the effect it's had on my personality, how I've withdrawn from friends and family. I was embarrassed when I first got the Fissure, so pretended to all but my family that I'd a lower back issue. As it's gone on, it's become more difficult to field questions, in fact it's easier to just avoid them altogether... It's not helped that even if I wanted to still socialise, I can't bloody sit down anywhere! lol!

This forum does make it a little easier to bear, knowing there are others out there who do know how you're feeling and what you're going through, sharing each other's problems, and helping each other with advice. I really don't know what I'd do without it...

To that regard, thank you once more, mpb! The fact that you were tender down there for so long does give me some hope that one day I will feel normal again. And thanks too for the tips on silver and oregano, I'll read up about them.

Wishing you both a nice weekend! Hang in there, Jim!
