Image I'm still far more scared of my forthcoming butt surgery than of the neck surgery - butt surgery is still THE scariest thing !!! I'm just scared of everything!
That sounds like a good film. Have you seen the Bucket List? Thats got Jacky boy in it. Oh, and Anger Management - i loved that one! I like Adam Sandler !
That sucks, having to poop that late at night :( :(
Have a good nights sleep and let us know how you get on . Good luck!

Thanks for the advice all. I am glad that you all told me to go to a specialist doctor and not the regular doctor. That is one question that I had and I am glad that I wont waste my time by going to a regular doctor. I will keep you updated once I find out more. I am going to be calling the doctor (CRS) today. In the meantime...are there any specific foods that I should stay away from? Or that I should definitely be eating?
Thanks!

All Bran Buds cereal-if you use a big bowl for cereal you will get almost 25 grams of fiber in one sitting. That really helps me keep regular.
Fruits and veggies of course throughout the day. I would also add some Omega 3's like fish oil capsules or flax seed which will help coat the stool.
I would avoid eating a lot of dairy (unless you do not find it problematic), red meat (can be binding), nuts, scratchy stuff (for me I can't eat the real hard crunchy granola). But I find if I eat the All bran buds it kind of pre-empts any problems I might have with other foods. I also stay away from citrus and spicy foods as they can burn coming out. Be sure to check out our diet forum for some great tips too!

Andy LOL - did you read first page of this thread LOL : ) ??? I specifically told you what to eat and what not - but it is OK - when we get butt pain it feels like everything is spinning around and many things we forget or oversee : (.
So - here again - eat a lot of whole grain , veggies, fruits. Add extra fiber using Metamucil or Citrucal or such. DRINK a LOT of water or tea or other healthy fluids.
AVOID - Alcohol - it dries poop out and makes it hard
Coffee - dehydrates poop
Spicy food - can make your butt "burn"
A lot of meat or cheese - constipating (can eat some fish and chicken in small portions )
Junk food - not good in general - especially popcorn (scratchy, chips and stuff..)
Help extra with the softness of the poop and regularity IF NEEDED
by using Mg supplements, Milk of Magnesia, Colace, mineral oil, Miralax - whatever you prefer . Start slowly with that - you do not want diarrhea either.
Some people find it helpful to "lube" the butt before "going" with vaseline, A+D cream or KY.
Take regular sitz-baths - VERY IMPORTANT !!!! Helps with relaxing spasms and blood circulation.
Hope you read this dude LOL and best of luck !!!

hah you just listed off my entire diet on the "avoid" list. Dang.
I have a doctor's appointment set with a CRS next Wednesday and it is started to get worse and worse I feel. So, hopefully the doctor can get me going on something that will work quickly.
I also wanted to ask...have any of you noticed that when you are stressed or anxious, your discomfort/spasms become worse? It seems like that is happening with me...
