Oh Rachael.... I'm so sorry .... It's just so unfair.
You are doing everything right... There isn't anything else you could possibly do.
I'm having a pretty tough time with my fissure/ hems too.... I think there's something in the air.
I hope you can hold on to your sanity and keep on fighting ... I know you can do it... You've done it before!!

Maybe try taking a couple of neurofen or paracetamol just before your bm.... I find this helps take the edge off the sting post bm.

Hi OMB,
Thankyou, I am so trying, but had real bad day with the horrible pain.....

Hi J, good to see you are still looking in on us! Well the CRS saw me in Sept, which was 5 months after the Botox, and then told me I have another Fissure, which is apparently acute. I am convinced it is a reoccurrence of the old Fissure, and when I felt that twinge on the other side it is the same place as the other old one. I think the Botox has just acted as a band aid now thinking about it, and he did say mine was a very chronic case, so can't see how that Botox would have just healed them that easily. I really just don't know what to do anymore, especially when he isn't seeing me again until January and he thinks I can heal conservatively! No chance...... Then he is reluctant to so LIS because of the incontinence risk, but hasn't mentioned any other form of surgery. Ugh

Yikes, thats the scariest avatar I ever saw. Nice :D

I know botox worked for you, but I guess it didnt last long enough to fully heal. Maybe two botoxes in a row?
Then again, I think I would have pushed for LIS if I was in your shoes. You have gone so long already, and we know there is a risk of scar tissue building up, and make it even harder to heal.

Cant you see another CRS?

Dear Rachel I have tried to keep on eye out on your progress as I know you had botox some months back as did I. I now feel like my botox is wearing off and te soreness is coming back ( never went completely away but now is worse). I would love to ask for lis but I am just starting a new job and don't feel that I should for a couple months. I still use diltiazam too not that it does much. Hoping you can get lis soon and I will keep reading your updates. Wish you well.

Hi J,
Yes maybe I could do another round, I know it definitely relaxed my sphincter muscle enough to be pain free some of the time, but not sure if it really just acted as a band aid. I could see another CRS but I would have to be referred from scratch on the NHS, which could take a while... Not too sure what to do! I could get a second opinion privately, but this will cost £200 for just a consultation.... Maybe I should see what he suggests in Jan, then go from there if I am not happy. I just don't want to be miserable and in pain over Xmas.... Last year was awful too.

Hey Hopeful, sorry to hear you are feeling some pain again, when do you see the CRS again? I have just started on Dilt. Sigh

I hope you see some improvement soon, Rachael. It is frustrating!

I have to agree with OMB. It seems after I visit the CRS the AF always flares up, no matter how good I was doing before I am going to put off my follow up appointment with them for this reason!

Thinking of you! Hang in there!

Rachel not sure when I see a car again. I will have to call and get on the list. I am starting a new job and don't want to take a lot of time off. I am having some soreness again and some day it is quite painful. Also in the middle of the night one night ago I had painful spasms and yesterday too- on the opposite side of the fissure! What is that all about? I am so ready to be done of this world and it's pain. Ready for heaven. How do people keep going? I'm so tired and how can my husband possibly understand all my lying around? I hope the dilt helps you. It doesn't do a whole lot for me.
