:dunno: :poostick: :poostick: Anybody know of painkillers that I can take that won't constipate? That are stronger than ibuprofen and paracetamol. Something that will preferably make me feel no pain but won't put me in a zombie state! Anything right now... Bad day. Not too sure how much longer I can take this hell. My partner hates it too, it's putting strain on everything! Help.

:constipated: :gah: :gah:

Sorry to see you are still suffering so bad R. I hope Santa is bringing you a new butt for christmas!

What's your plan now? Wait longer, or maybe look into surgery?

Hi J,
Thankyou for checking in on me. The forum has gone quiet of late. I am planning on seeing the CRS on Jan 13th and saying enough is enough. I just can't take this anymore. I plan to go in armed with loads of research and ask which surgery I can have and which is suitable for me. I think all conservative measures are no good for me now, I need surgery. Not sure if Botox will do it, so I will see what he says. I have made a decision that if I am not happy, I will seek a second opinion, even if I have to pay. I just want this sorted out once and for all. It is taking its toll on everything again, and I just can't live like this!
I hope you are well? Do you know what happened to Welsh? Did she get healing conformation? Have looked back on her diary, but couldn't see any info?! Xx

Good plan R. You dealt with this long enough!

I have not heard from W, but I think she is all healed up by now, and like many others that heal, forgot about this forum. And, who blame them, after such a painful time, I'm happy to see them move on with their lives. No need to stick around here, and be reminded of the worst time in their lives. But hey, maybe she will swing around for a quick update some day.

Not sure another round of botox will be enough for you R, but you did have good results with the first, so I guess it will depend on what the examination shows huh. But if you really want to up the odds of healing, I'm afraid you will have to look into LIS or flap. I would also demand a second opinion before this kind of surgery, so stick with that thought!

Good luck to you R!

Thankyou J,

The thought of surgery scares me, but i need my life back. Both sites are hurting again, so I think although I had good results from the Botox it was only a temporary fix for me and both fissures have reoccurred. I know my muscle relaxes with Botox, but because my case is chronic it needs more aggressive treatment. I am struggling with this again mentally now, you know the anxiousness before BM, the pain cycle, the crying. I just hope I can get the right answer from the CRS in Jan. x

I'm really sorry you are struggling with your fissures so much Hun. I really don't know what to suggest you do that you probably aren't already doing. It's heartbreaking when you do everything right.... But still suffer such terrible pain.
Hang on in there... It's just a few weeks away until you see your CRS... And then you can really press him for a plan of action.

Huge hugs

Splinter.. Hi,
No... Botox didn't work for me.... I fact I feel I came out worse!
I am waiting for an appointment to have a pressure test done, to see if my anal resting pressure is still low. If it is low I will have advancement flap if its high, it will be LIS.

How have you been??
