Longtime lurker, looking for CRS/Gastro in SoCal

Postby KPB123 » 07 Jan 2014, 19:44

Hi. Like the title says, I'm a longtime lurker on this board. I'm a 37 yr old male living in the Long Beach, CA area. I've been dealing with a couple of fissures off and on for about five years now. I've mostly been treating myself through diet and supplements and my pain is a bit of a roller coaster, coming and going, from dormant to intense. After so many years, I'm guessing my condition is chronic and I'm curious to find out why I'm not fully healing and if there is more going on than I realize.

I was wondering if any of you can recommend some good CRS's and gastroenterologists in the Southern California area. I'm considering getting some professional opinions to hopefully diagnose me and help me out with my situation but in reading this board, I know how important finding good doctors can be.

Thanks for your suggestions and thanks for the board existing. It's nice to know I'm not the only one dealing with this.

Hello,

It is difficult to find, but I saw someone posted surgeon ranking and suggestions in different areas. Or probably someone from your region will show up with suggestion.

Unfortunately I am from Europe and cannot help much.

The link below is to all the posts on here (152) with California in the subject. Might help.

Then there are two links where you can research what others have said, and the final link is to surgeons recommended by the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.

Hi again, KPB123!

Another link, this one using our own Search (which is above, at the top of the page, under the welcome message). I searched by topic "CRS", and you might find something among the results:
