It just seems like a cruel never ending cycle. I have been where you both are more times than I care to remember over the last 3 years. The one thing you both have to hold onto is that the pain peeks and troughs...... Maybe next week things will be a lot more manageable, and you will feel stronger in yourselves, and thus, more able to be optimistic and cope.

Huge hugs to you both

You are all so strong. I'm new here, coming up on my 3 month anniversary for my fissure. got a AF on February 13 from a colonoscopy. I was incapacitated. Thankfully I work from home, but didn't really get any work done for the first 2 months. I don't know how you can go to work. All I could do was bathe, pace, try and lie down. I got Botox 5 days ago, my BM is still super painful, tomorrow I go to prelube thanks to advice on the forum. My big problem is some mornings I have 3 BM. They are soft but still painfull. Good luck to all, it's great to be able to vent to people in the same situation.
