Hi msimon,

Sorry for late response. I am doing generally fine, time to time if I strain small fissure may occur again, but I quickly start taking miralax, and it is healing fine then. Remembering stories from suzyljunk, and other members after surgery there might be narrowing of canal, so I have decided just to take miralax in slow dosage, so I prevent further fissures re-occuring.

Otherwise, life is good.

Glad to hear that you seem to be managing things well. I have heard it is safe to take Miralax for life. It's not ideal but you do what you have to do right? I have been on it a long time myself, at a low dose.

This afternoon got huge relapse. Not sure what happened, but stool buled up during 3 days and was very difficult to pass. I managed, but fissure formed. Currently in a lot of pain and some bleeding. Took ibuprofen and not sure what should I do now. And I should admit I was wrong forgetting about frequency of BMs. And now I am I trouble, hopefully this fissure will heal by it's own.

I am so sorry Pinpin! That is awful. I hope it heals very quickly for you, given that you had the LIS it will hopefully not be as bad.

It has been almost a month, first week was tough taking ibuprofenum. Now things are better, but I have to be careful with what I eat and take mirolax, half sachet every day.

It will take time, but should heal. Apparantly fissure occured on the old wound place, where tissue must be weak.
