A colorectal surgeon once offered me the idea of a temporary colostomy. However he then went on to say that he couldn't guarantee that would help my pain. I could never do that though, I would rather take some pain medication and continue to be as active as I can. He told me the pain was likely nerve related and reassured me that I was anatomically normal.
He had examined me multiple times.
