zaps is such a good name! I've just had the most embarrassing 2 hours, luckily I was at home. went to the loo as normal this morning and then had a sitz bath, sat on my sofa on a hot bottle. around an hour later I farted and thought nothing more of it it was just sore to do it, but popped a codeine and that sorted that. 3 hours later after falling asleep I woke up and realised I had opened my bowels again on the sofa at the time when I farted but I never realised only thought the pain was residing from when I opened my bowels. this resulted in ruined pyjamas, ruined sofa seat all in the wash now. So much stress and upset!! I feel awful about it. Still in lots of pain and where my perenium and testicles were in contact with the stuff now I've got a horrid painful rash there thats so sore on top of the pain in my rear end!!! what an awful year so far :(

Oh god FF.... I've just caught up with your diary. You poor thing.... You are really going through it this time aren't you!
Don't worry about the ' sharting' incident....it happens after surgery... I had surprise poos for a while after mine last year. I'm sorry you were so sore from it though. I hope a bit of sudocream sorted it out.

It sounds like the cutting away of the scar tissue is much like having a skin tag removed. Very painful..... Keep it clean and dry.... Go commando when ever you can.

Keep up the pain killers as regularly as you can... Don't let that that intense pain creep in.

Hang on in there Hun!!

Hey thanks for replying :-) I just love this community so much. Ive just this hour started back on GTN to help things along and my god it stings at 12 where they've removed all the tissue. Ow ow ow! Like the usual stabbing pain but more like a wasp sting. Today's bm wasn't as terrible as yesterday around a 9/10. God this thing stings.

Day 8. Actually not as bad as yesterday! No blood for once which is lovely. But when I fold some toilet paper to dab my bum after I sits bath it comes with a blot of what can only be described as exudate. A clear fluid slightly tinged with yellow that's not blood but the ooze from a wound - yuck. That tells me it's still not healed over yet but it's heading in the right direction I guess. I woke up this morning at 6am to the same zapper pain that was horrendous and had another bout at 9am. Bm today was at 12. As mentioned previously it wasn't horrendous only a 5/10 and no spasms after for the moment.

Hi FF , I have been reading your story, I m sorry it is very hard on you , also shows that how patient you are with all of this misery, just want to say maybe when you use the sitz bath you create a pressure on the sensitive site , the sits bath was helpful to me but in your case tray not to stay longer as well as dabbing the healing wound.
I m wondering why you didn't go for LIS ?sorry about this question. as Im looking for surgery I just want to comfort myself that it might solve the problem more effective than other procedures. Thx

This is good news Ff! That yellow exudate is indeed a good thing. It is serous fluid that is excreted by the new tissue growth (granulation tissue). I went through this stage for a very long time and had a lot of tissue irritation from it so I made sure to always have a barrier cream on the surrounding tissue to keep it form breaking down. I mainly used an antibiotic ointment but petroleum jelly would work too.

Glad to hear the bleeding is slowing and the pain is less. Well on your way...

only got another 3 days off work, dreading going back but they will cut my pay if I don't go back.

an OK day today, some little shooting pains and the BM is painful as always (around 5/10) no blood. Baths stop the spasms straight away, no bath available at work though!!! Managed to cut my pain relief down to 2 paracetamol in the evening and 2 ibuprofen in the evening.

I might slowly be getting there.

Woke up to the stabbing pain again and managed to go to the loo. Pain on bm was 6/10 but no blood that I can see. Also got an email last night from my boss saying this is my last week of sick pay if I don't go back Monday I won't be paid. Just to add to my stress!!! I don't have a bath or any wash facilities at work so I have no idea what I'm going to do after each bm.
