Hi HTD,
I'm so pleased the spasms seem to stay away as long as I have just the one BM....if only there was some way to achieve that permanently lol.
So the burning went after about 5 hours and never got above a 3/4 so that's good as I didn't have to put the GTN on. It did come back last night when I was in bed reading as I laid on my back for too long...wonder if this is because my fissure is posterior and that position presses it open or something??
So day off again today hoping for a nice BM as I'm out all day tomorrow at work and could do with a poop free day tomorrow but won't hold my breath lol.
Hope you all have a pain free day

Hi Katie,
Really hope it all goes well pandemic the MRI shows that it's not got any larger, I'm sure once you have seen it you will feel a bit easier. Fingers crossed for you x

Well its been a few days of one BM a day mostly bristol 3/4....and its been so nice no actual pain, a bit of burning but doesnt last as long and yesterday and today i didnt put my GTN on afterwards and again still no actual pain, with the stinging only lasting a couple of hours.
I truly wish that i could guarantee just one BM a day as im sure i could heal.
I am truly grateful that the pain actually seems to be decreasing and hope and pray that this can continue....
With the new meds i even managed to have a glass of wine at new year, my first bit of alcohol in 18 months...i kind of felt like a normal human lol.

That's great mpb, I really hope that this continues on the right track. Maybe just a few good days will give it enough time to heal to the point where multiple bms won't even bother you!

Looks like your coming thru it MPB. For me 9 weeks now post surgery and still having discomfort especially after peeing. So apparently I have another problem as I dont think That is related to this. What sad here is that I dont really feel that the surgery helped as the same symptoms continue. I think I wasted alot of money but oh well lesson learned . I have lost my trust in doctors. I truly believe tgey did not and cannot help me.

Hi GG....it would be absolutely perfect if that happened but im not holding my breath for that lol. Im so happy to know that i can go once and not be in pain and not have to put my cream up there. Makes it easier to live, work, go out ect. Going to the toilet has ruled my life for 18 months now as i havent been brave enough to go to the toilet anywhere other than at home....i think i could manage it now if i had too lol
Hi Jim, oh no that doesnt sound good, do you think maybe they caught some nerves and they are now irritated...everything is so close down there. Are you still getting spasms because if you are then you should go back, thats the one thing im grateful for as long as i dont have multiple BMs then my spasms have stopped. You seemed to be doing really well and werent getting any proper pain....have you had a relapse?

MPB. Will be seeing a Urologist for prostate exam and PSA test. Had Blood in semen yesterday. TMI. I dont think that is nerve related. Had that way befire lis. Was told not to worry about it. Same symptoms hurts when I sit no BM either

Oh gosh Jim really hope everthing is ok. Maybe these new symptoms are impacting on your LIS recovery making the area swollen and irritated perhaps. My CRS says it could take upto 6 months to be able to sit fully upright comfortably...not so much of an issue for me though as my hips can dislocate so i always have to lean to one side...its mainly long car journies that i notice sitting still hurts
